Designed by a paediatric nurse and mother of three 'Back to sleep' was born out of the anxiety of finding her babies on their tummies and them being unable to roll back onto their back. Seeing her baby exhausted or lifeless and being unable to see if they were breathing or not this mum decided to try and find a solution to this particular problem. Having tried other products designed to maintain a safe sleeping position and being frustrated with their design she came up with 'Back to sleep' . "My aim was to create something which would maintain the recommended sleeping position which would reduce the risk of cot death but also something which would ensure my baby would be kept in that position whilst I wasn't watching her. Once I knew she could roll around the floor in both directions I knew she had a better chance of changing her position in the cot should she become distressed. I feel we have achieved this with 'Back to sleep' . " The design has many more beneficial features which have become apparant during its development and use.
